Bianca joined GambleAware in May 2018.

Prior to this Bianca was a PhD researcher and then a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Vice Provost Education’s Office at Imperial College London, focusing on issues of diversity, inclusion, student well-being and underrepresentation. Bianca has extensive experience in researching diverse communities and understanding young male behaviours and characteristics, and her PhD research used social-psychological approaches to explore access to higher education for young black and ethnic minority (BME) men from disadvantaged backgrounds. Bianca also has extensive communications, change, project management and engagement experience and previously worked as a Project Manager and Evaluator for the National Literacy Trust and has delivered many consultancy projects for third sector organisations and universities including the University of Sussex, Jigsaw4U, and the Mayor of London’s Office on youth engagement and hard-to-reach groups.

Bianca has spoken both nationally and internationally on issues relating to youth development, youth engagement and researching diverse communities and has developed several educational resources and publications.

Bianca has a BA (Hons) in Linguistics from SOAS University of London, a Master of Research (MRes) in Language, Discourse & Communication from King’s College London and a PhD in Educational Development Research from Imperial College London.
